Join us for a unique fundraiser event to celebrate coming together in companionship! While the focus of the event is between humans and their best canine friends, it also reunites relationships between older adults and our volunteers! By bringing these two groups together, LBFE hopes to raise awareness of the effects of long-term isolation and loneliness among the most vulnerable in our society, our older adults. This event will take place on Saturday, October 15th from 11am-4pm.
We are looking for volunteers to help us during set up, during the event, as well as clean up! If you are interested in attending rather than volunteering, you can purchase your tickets here: https://bit.ly/3zIztQo

Description
Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is committed to enriching the lives of lonely and isolated older adults in San Francisco. Virtually all of our services are carried out by individual volunteers; community, civic, and religious groups; and the business community. LBFE offers flexible and diverse volunteer opportunities, and volunteers can choose to make weekly, monthly, or seasonal time commitments.
LBFE has been supporting an incredible project called 80 over 80.
80 over 80 is a series of interviews that celebrates 80 people, living in San Francisco, who have passed the remarkable milestone of reaching 80. It includes the incredible stories and experiences of some of our wonderful LBFE Older Adults. Check our their stories here: https://80over80sf.org/80over80-stories
