You could be a huge support to a hospice patient and their family by helping out in simple, practical ways. What a difference it makes to have some help with the laundry or the vacuuming for someone who is caring for their loved one at home! Do you know how to load a dishwasher? Can you fold a basket of towels? Do you love to dust? You may be someone's godsend.
You can also help by simply sitting. Sometimes family caregivers need someone to stay with their loved one while they go to an appointment, do the shopping or get a haircut. We call this a "respite" visit. Let us help you be a superhero to a local hospice patient.
Mid-Michigan is concerned about the safety of our volunteers, staff, patients, and families. All precautions are taken, including personal protective equipment and screening.
