Help American Contemporary Ballet (ACB) by volunteering at performances for our eleventh season. As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, we couldn't do it all without the help of our valued volunteers!

Please visit our website www.acbdances.com for our season calendar with all performance dates and times (October 2022 - June 2023). If you are interested in volunteering, please click "I Want to Help" and we will send you a sign up link for specific shifts.

By assisting staff with ushering, reception servicing, ticketing check-in, and additional items, our volunteers get to enjoy our shows and educational programs. Work along side directors, dancers, administrators, and other volunteers who share a love of dance and desire to make a difference in our community to help produce new, contemporary classical ballets, educational programs, and to develop a world-class ballet company in Los Angeles.

Come join the ACB family for Season XI! Your help will be invaluable to creating a memorable experience for our patrons.

*Note: After expressing interest through VolunteerMatch, you will receive an email confirmation if you have been selected to volunteer, then given a sign up sheet to pick specific volunteer dates.

Mission Statement

American Contemporary Ballet’s mission is to produce and present choreographic works of the highest quality which exemplify dance as a musical art form.

Description

American Contemporary Ballet was founded to produce original contemporary classical ballets, and to present twentieth-century masterworks that exemplify dance as a musical art form. The company's repertory includes works by George Balanchine, Fred Astaire, as well as original works and reconstructions of the seminal works of ballet's history.

ACB's performances are always danced to live music, which is played by some of LA's finest classical musicians. Our venues seat the audience at stage level, and each program is followed by a reception with the artists and live music. We also provide audiences with an opportunity to connect with ballet intellectually and critically through our Conversations and Dancing School programs.
