The New York Academy of Sciences is committed to increasing the number and diversity of students in the STEM pipeline. One way we do this is through programming that allows students to experience the fun and hands-on nature of science both in classroom and informal education spaces. If this mission resonates with you, please consider working with the Academy through one of our full-time AmeriCorps positions. Connect scientists as they help improve STEM communication and outreach via in person labs and mentorship across NYC.

We are currently recruiting for two open NYC Civic Corps positions to support our in-school and afterschool programs . These individuals will help us bring engaging STEM projects to students across NYC, while getting valuable experience working in the non-profit sector. Each is a fulltime service position and offers health insurance and a living stipend for work between October 31, 2022 to June 30, 2023 (M-F 9AM-5PM).
