We Need Your Help! Please consider this as a rewarding volunteer opportunity, giving back to others by teaching basic computer skills to people eager to bridge the digital gap! Greetings,
The Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center is currently seeking volunteer instructors and assistants who are proficient in Spanish for our VIRTUAL basic computer classes. Orientation and a curriculum for guidance will be provided.
We invite you to join a dedicated and talented team of volunteers in making a big difference in people's lives, while enjoying getting to know their neighbors! For 20 years, the Center has served Montgomery County's immigrant community - welcoming our neighbors, helping people connect with support and services, and offering free and low-cost classes - so that we all may thrive here. We've been able to do this thanks to our volunteers.
Please join us and teach Basic Computer Skills ONLINE. To apply please visit

About Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center
11002 Veirs Mill Road, Suite 506, Wheaton, MD 20902, US
We are Montgomery County’s resource center for immigrants. We strengthen the County by connecting our diverse communities with educational, economic, and civic resources so all may thrive here.
The Gilchrist Center is a gateway for County immigrants: they can obtain information and referrals to programs and services offered by government agencies and community organizations, strengthen their life skills through English and basic computer classes, and increase their knowledge to prepare for civic life and/or U.S. citizenship. The Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center is a community where residents can contribute their talents to help others, and it is a testament to Montgomery County’s commitment to building one of the world’s most welcoming communities.
