Han-Le-Co Vol. Fire Company is searching for anyone 18 and older who lives close to or within the 18109 zip code area with a valid license and vehicle to become a sworn fire police officer at no cost to you. Fire police officers are fire company members who receive certain sworn police powers, special training, and support firefighting efforts at emergency incidents. Fire police officers secure incident and fire scenes as well as perform traffic and crowd control. Occasionally, fire police may be requested by regular police for assistance on police emergencies.
