The Giving Trees is looking for individuals willing to be included on an email list to which we post specific job tasks asking for someone on the volunteer team to tackle.
We ask that everyone on the email list: (1) At least read the emails we send out, even if you can't perform a task, and (2) Do your best to accept at least one task within the first 2 weeks of being added to the email list.

Mission Statement
Brighten the holiday season for individuals and families in need - independent of background - by personally delivering free Christmas trees, stands, lights, ornaments, and other decorations to them in their homes.
Description
The Giving Trees is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that delivers freshly-cut Christmas trees (plus stands, lights, ornaments, and other decorations) to individuals and families - regardless of background - who otherwise wouldn't be able to get one. In 2020, our first year, we delivered 117 trees in the greater Portland area. Last year, we delivered 721 across 12 states. And this coming season, we're planning to deliver >2,500 in all 50 states + 5 other countries.
Our purpose is to spread joy through generosity and service during the December holidays.
We welcome tree recipients, donors, volunteers, and other supporters independent of religion, race, color, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, language, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
If someone wishes for a Christmas tree and they self-identify as not being able to get one otherwise, we bring them a tree.
