Sisters Breaking Chains Together is focused on leaving a lasting legacy of empowerment, mentorship, and service. Our goal is to share our faith and experiences while providing support and resources to mothers and daughters.

Internship Description

SBCT is a nonprofit organization looking for a volunteer with strong knowledge and understanding of the various social media platforms to increase SBCT awareness in the community and reach our target audience of mothers and daughters.

The volunteer for this position will need to be timely and organized in order to keep up with this vibrant and passionate team, who are very excited to share this opportunity with a volunteer and hoping to leverage their creative design and social media marketing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain an SBCT calendar of things to post for approval by at least one member of the board
  • Monitor and post SBCT information on social media a few times a week
  • Assist with online outreach and promotion using Facebook and Instagram
  • Research and connect with target audience of mothers and daughters
  • Help expand SBCT network with similar organizations

Requirements

  • Prefer volunteers with Marketing or Business degrees or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with internet and social media platforms
  • Available for weekly meetings/check-ins, approximately 5-8 hours per week depending on time of the year
  • Organized and creative in design
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Familiar with Canva or similar tools
  • A personal connection to the overall mission of the organization would be beneficial

Description

Breaking Chains

Breaking Chains is an event focused on encouraging women to forgive by faith for their freedom. During this event, Bree shares her personal testimony of faith and forgiveness to encourage and empower participants to do the same. This event also includes a Q&A session and/or panel discussion to give participants the opportunity to share their own experiences and hear from others invested in helping sisters break generational strongholds.

For Our Daughters

Like generations before us, we recognize that we’re stronger together and that a community of faith filled women supporting our teens and their families helps solidify the family foundation, fostering a generation of overcomers, achievers and servant leaders! As a community of women, our goal with TGT is to share our faith and experiences, offering support and resources for mothers and daughters.

Annual Events
Facilitate Mother and Daughter Bible study, Mother and Daughter Picnic,take group of teen girls to a Christian youth conference, organize a group of women attending a Christian women's conference, Money Matters, Mental Health, Careers and Education, Human trafficking, Domestic violence, School Supplies, Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and gifts for kids
