Recruiting Organization: Parkinson's Resources of Oregon
Sole Support for Parkinson's is a series of ~1k and ~5k walks held by Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon (PRO). Each walk unites hundreds of participants from across the region in a day of support, community, celebration, and purpose. They also help PRO’s ability to continue offering complimentary services that are vital to so many, ensuring nobody has to face this disease alone.
Please consider joining us as a volunteer at this year’s Vancouver Sole Support at Esther Short Park on September 24th! Signing up for more than one role is encouraged (as long as timeframes don’t overlap) and many of our opportunities offer the flexibility to volunteer AND walk with your team!
Volunteers are especially needed for:
General Set Up: help unload trucks, set up tables, folding chairs and tents. Blow up balloons, put up signs and help set up booths.
Route Monitors/Cheerleaders: Cheer on and encourage our walkers along the 1k and 5k routes. Make sure everyone is staying on the right path, being safe, and most importantly, having fun!
Clean Up and Tear Down: At the end of the day, help us break everything down and pack it all away in the U-Haul truck.
The success of these walks rests on our supporters and YOU, our volunteers! So thank you for donating your time and talents to help at our largest fundraising and community event of the year!
