Glow at the Gardens(tm) is a luminous, nighttime celebration of America's favorite gourd.

Guests wander through a spooky, illuminated landscape as the Gardens dresses up for Halloween. Using all real pumpkins harvested from local farms, our pumpkin artists push the boundaries of traditional pumpkin carving to create larger-than-life sculptures and dense displays of jack-o’-lanterns, with grins and grimaces fit for the season.

Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals:
Event preparation October 18-20
Event support October 17-22, morning, afternoon and evening shifts available

About Denver Botanic Gardens & Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms

Location:

Mission Statement

The mission of Denver Botanic Gardens is to connect people with plants, especially plants from the Rocky Mountain region and similar regions around the world, providing delight and enlightenment to everyone.

Description

York Street:
Denver Botanic Gardens is an incredibly diverse public garden in the heart of Denver where horticulture design has been an art form since 1951. With more than 15,000 plant species from around the world, the Gardens is recognized as one of the top urban gardens in the United States.

Chatfield Farms:
Facilities include the Earl J. Sinnamon Visitor Center, the historical Hildebrand Ranch, a restored 1918 dairy barn and silo, the 1874 Deer Creek Schoolhouse, 2.5 miles of nature trails, the Deer Creek Discovery children’s play area and numerous wildflower gardens. Bring your binoculars and wander the many trails. The area is known for exceptional bird watching.

A small name change to Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms (formerly Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield) reflects the very big role of the "farm" in everything that happens at our Chatfield location: from events like harvest-themed Pumpkin Festival and Corn Maze and the distinctly rural Santa's Workshop at Chatfield Farms to a growing commitment to food access through the Gardens’ Urban Food Initiatives.
