Our Mobile School Pantry Program needs volunteers to feed kids!

Volunteers can look on our sign-up genius to see what schools are in need this month! The signup genius link is: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084FA9A72FA1FDC16-volunteering

How it works is each month during the school year, our Utah Food Bank truck arrives at a school where one of our coordinators and volunteers unload and bag product about 30 minutes before school gets out. Then once the bell rings, we assist kids and their parents as they sign in and take food home for their families.

The amount of food distributed varies depending on the availability of donated and purchased foods, yet it’s usually 15-18 lbs. of food in 3 bags. Then when the distribution is over, we clean up and move the leftover bags wherever the school would like to store them. It’s around an 1 - 1 ½ hour time commitment for this hands-up, supplementary groceries program.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
