Mission: "Our vision is to help the people of our community who have either been incarcerated for drug related crimes or have been through a rehabilitation program for drugs and alcohol. We do this by giving them a safe, sober-living home with a structured working environment along with workshops to help them integrate back into the workforce. We also focus on social activities and skills to bring joy and purpose back to their lives for them to move forward and become a positive, happy member of the community and their own families."

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our bookkeeper; ensure that receipts, donations, and financials are being documented properly

Create a structure around a nonprofit's charitable contributions or earned income.

Work with bookkeeper to review and evaluate financial statements

Prepare tax returns and other paperwork needed for the organization

Requirements:

Accounting or bookkeeping background, ideally nonprofit accounting.

Experience in the nonprofit world is ideal

Time Commitment: Flexible hours to be determined each week until the completion of the project which will run approximately 3-6 months.

Physical Requirement: Volunteers can work remotely.

Age requirement: This opportunity is for 55 and older volunteers only.
