Food bank runner needed

ORGANIZATION: Women's Daytime Drop-In Center

We need a reliable volunteer to pick up food from the food bank every other Monday morning for us here at the Women's Daytime Drop-in Center! The duties will include: driving to the Alameda County Food Bank in Oakland, deciding on which foods to bring (in communication with me), loading the boxes into your vehicle, and dropping them off here at our center in Berkeley. Must be able to lift heavy boxes.
Must be a licensed driver with an insured, registered vehicle, ideally of a larger size to fit more food.
You will be relied upon to visit the food bank for us every other Monday morning.

Thanks so much for considering helping us out! We feed 150+ families per month with warm meals and groceries and rely upon volunteer support to do so.

Must be vaccinated and wear a mask at the food bank and upon arrival at our center.

  • Hospitality window - serving meals to go, groceries, hygiene products, diapers
  • Intensive case management to assist with obtaining and maintaining housing.
  • Children's Program offering positive play and educational activities.
  • Extensive housing resource information, referral, and advocacy.
  • Bridget Transitional House.
