The Health Trust's Food Basket provides healthy and nutritious food for our clients. Volunteers help our clients "shop" for groceries at our Jerry Larson Food Basket. We need volunteers to help hand out items, set up, clean up, and assist clients to load their cars with the groceries they pick up. This is a rewarding opportunity to assist us in empowering our clients to greater health.

Availability: Monday-Thursday on alternating weeks, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Requirements: Online application, onboarding forms, minimum age requirement 16+ and face coverings.

**You are not scheduled until you receive a confirmation from volunteers@healthtrust.org**

About The Health Trust

Mission Statement

Our Mission: To build health equity in the Silicon Valley.

Description

Our Vision:

The Health Trust believes every Silicon Valley resident should have the opportunity to live a healthy life.

How:

We at The Health Trust believe that if Silicon Valley is a community where innovation is changing the world, then it also can be a community where innovation changes the lives of everyone - especially our most vulnerable residents - for the better.

As we strive to make our vision reality, we reflect the values of Silicon Valley. When we tackle a problem, we take the broad view. We rely on expertise, partnerships and best practices to generate solutions that will have the greatest impact on those we serve. We invest in projects that are sustainable, show measurable results and provide the greatest return on investment for the community.

With a strong emphasis on prevention, we focus our work through three initiatives: Healthy Living, Healthy Aging and Healthy Communities. Through direct services, we are helping one person at a time. And through policy advocacy and grantmaking, we are changing the local environment to promote healthy eating, healthy aging and healthy living.
