Philanthropic Engagement Administrative Volunteer

The Night Ministry’s Philanthropic Engagement Department seeks a volunteer to help on various critical projects. This position would expose the volunteer to the administrative side of the non-profit field, assisting in back-end support, fundraising efforts, and other essential areas. Volunteers will be able to experience a full view of the fundraising and philanthropic engagement side of a well-established, local non-profit. Reporting to the Senior Director of Individual Stewardship, the position will be responsible for assisting with several day-to-day tasks as well as long-term projects during the holiday season. Basic Qualifications

• Comfort with technology, preferably Microsoft Office Suite
• Organization skills
• Ability to be on your feet and move about freely
• Ability to lift and carry large boxes
• Ability to work occasional Saturdays
• Ability to communicate professionally and in a personable manner with donors and supporters

Potential Tasks and Projects

• Accepting donations on the Resource Coordinator’s behalf
• Sorting, labeling, and storing donations as needed.
• Supporting larger team with mailings, which includes printing and sorting letters/envelopes and stuffing envelopes once letters are signed.
• Accepting meal donations on the Volunteer Coordinator’s behalf.
• Supporting Resource Coordinator and Volunteering Coordinator in the lead-up to and coordination of annual Holiday Celebration events
• Other duties as assigned
