Shoreline Clean Up & Invasive Pull at Piscataway Park: September 24th

Learn about and help with the Accokeek Foundation's new "Operation Free-a-Tree" program, which aims to protect mature trees from invasive vines, or, instead, join a team to tackle trash along the shore while learning how trash impacts wildlife and you! Participating shoreline clean up volunteers must be able to walk moderate distances and travel along the uneven terrain of the shoreline. Participating invasive removal volunteers should be able to navigate fairly even gravel trails. All ages are welcome, but youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the event.

All volunteers will receive one fee-free coupon entitling them to one "fee-free" day at any participating federal recreation or visitor site, including National Parks, in honor of National Public Lands Day.
