We are hosting our annual Feet For Flippers 5K fundraiser in person again for the first time since the start of the pandemic. This 5K is organized along the iconic Cape Cod Canal, starting right in our backyard here at NMLC. To make this event a success, we are in need of many volunteers to help with set up, checking participants in, manning the first aid station, and clean up just to name a few things.
No previous experience with this event is required! A strong work ethic and a positive attitude is all we ask for!

Description
Founded in 1995, the National Marine Life Center is an independent, non-profit organization. We rehabilitate and release stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in order to advance science and education in marine wildlife health and conservation.
Marine animals make ideal teaching tools. Dolphins, whales, seals, and sea turtles are charismatic and interesting. The ocean depths in which they live are mysterious and exciting. By using marine animals as subject material, National Marine Life Center instructors address topics from biology to physics, writing composition to art, math to technology.
