Work with the Texas Homeless Network’s Engagement Team to build partnerships with homeless service providers as well as sectors outside homelessness services and improve policies and processes to prevent and end homelessness.
The Partnership Development VISTA will analyze and develop homeless services providers' relationships and collaborations with other sectors, including education, healthcare, criminal legal systems, and the foster care system. The purpose is to improve policies and processes to prevent and end homelessness among people involved with those systems, such as students experiencing homelessness, hospital patients, people re-entering the community after incarceration, and youth exiting foster care. The VISTA will research current practices in cross-sector collaboration, build a database of contacts , create materials to support collaboration and engagemen t, a nd create a proposal recommending policies and procedures to support engagement and collaboration.

Texas Homeless Network is a statewide non-profit organization that provides information services to providers and individual members serving the homeless population all across the state of Texas. THN promotes communication, develops awareness, and formulates strategies concerning statewide issues and problems that require solutions more comprehensive than local efforts can supply on their own. We do this through our publications, workshops and statewide conference.
