Our Family Necessities Kits each contain supplies ranging from food, snacks, hydration, hygiene, health supplements and COVID 19 prevention kits. Volunteers will help us sort through aide, assemble boxes, and pack kits at our Headquarter Warehouse. These Family Necessities Kits are then shipped out to those in need.
GEM Bstrong ensures the delivery of these kits to people in need across our globe in real-time. Distributions are executed in partnerships with our vetted ground partners and always supervised by GEM’s special mission team members.
Our transport partner, UC Group, with over 500 full-size semi-trucks ensures US deliveries within 24 to 72 hours of loading. They are produced by volunteer power at GEM US Headquarters, GEM European Headquarters and GEM Ukraine Headquarters.

Mission Statement
Disrupting disaster response and providing for sustainable development. GEM’s aim is to provide grassroots efforts with a large institutional impact for the most vulnerable populations affected by natural disasters around the world. GEM is dedicated to restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of those most affected by natural disasters. The organization works as a first responder for disaster relief, bridges the gap between first response and sustainable development, and implements practices to ensure sustainable development.
Description
The organization’s journey began with grassroots community engagement as its founder, Michael Capponi, and board members have been involved in supporting some of the most significant global tragedies. For two decades, the team has assisted in over 300 missions around the world since the 1999 Kosovo Crisis, and most recently Ukraine. Following the completion of immediate response, and recognizing the continued need for support, GEM began to bridge the gap between first response and sustainable development. In 2017, GEM began operating Bethenny Frankel’s #BStrong initiative, which fills this need by supplying unrestricted cash card distributions allowing beneficiaries to meet their individual needs. This partnership disrupts disaster response while activating and influencing the global community by going above and beyond real time emergency assistance to individuals and their families. GEM instituted its sustainable development programming by building and rebuilding homes, schools and communities while establishing livelihood initiatives. GEM has been able to reduce what was an initial three year sustainability cycle in Haiti to a refined approach that resulted in a one year sustainability cycle in the Bahamas. To date, GEM has supported missions in 40+ countries, all 50 US states, and territories including the Caribbean. The organizations complete 360 degree response results in having a long-lasting institutional impact.
