Take A Stand was created to provide prevention and intervention for youth and families within Southwest Fresno. Our mission is to empower and support residents who live in lower economic communities with limited resources.
Take A Stand will be hosting its' annual community event -- "The Fresno Juneteenth Celebration". A nationally recognized celebration commemorating the notification of the Emancipation Proclamation to Galveston, TX on June 19, 1865. This celebration brings out over 5,000 community members, adults children to participate in activities which include a parade, local performances, speaking, workshops and more,
We need volunteers in the areas of registration sign ups, kid zone, health zone, parade, hospitality, food serving and other areas as needed.
