​​​The loss of a loved one is always a difficult time, and it can be even harder for those who are struggling to make ends meet. That's where 3ABF comes in. We offer a wide range of bereavement services for low-income and working poor families in the Houston Metropolitan Area. Since our inception, we have helped 13,795 families heal from the loss of their loved one through emotional and financial support. We are the only organization in Houston offering comprehensive bereavement services, and we are always seeking volunteers to meet the demand of families in need. Responsibilities

• Help spread the message of the important work of 3ABF and our impact in the community
• Maintain an understanding of the history, mission, and impact of 3ABF
• Provide input into development of 3ABF’s Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason Campaign, including direct mail, personal solicitation, and event fundraising
• Engage in the execution of all aspects of fundraising campaigns, including marketing efforts, personal solicitation, and the acknowledgement process
• Help to identify new prospects and potential funders
• Report activities and communicate to the Program Manager
• Liaise and communicate as appropriate with the Executive Director

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Fundraising experience
• Display a positive working attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Belief in the importance of the mission of 3ABF
• Good English speaking & writing skills; Bilingual English & Spanish speakers needed
• Complete and submit the ​3ABF Volunteer Application Form and related forms
