Help with Fence Work at Cogswell Foster Preserve

Time: 10 AM to 2 PM (Cogswell Foster is ~1.5 hours from Portland, but please allow extra time for traffic or other stops that you might need to make)
Tasks: Volunteers will be working in two groups of five to eight volunteers removing sheet fencing steel. All of the steel will be stomped down and put in a truck to be recycled.
Bring/Wear: Study hiking boots suitable for mud and long sleeve shirts and pants to deal with October weather. Tools, including gloves and protective googles will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own diagonal pliers, leather gloves, and protective googles. Make sure to pack water and food for the day.
Please Note: There is poison oak on the property. We will be going over how to identify it and will have Tecnu soap to help anyone clean a potential exposure. There is no bathroom on the property, so make sure to go before arriving.
Directions: GPS Coordinates: 44.333N 123.128W
From Eugene: Take 99 North - after Junction City, go right at split onto 99E. Pass through Harrisburg, drive approximately 5 miles, turn left onto Powerline Road and drive about 1.5 miles. The preserve is on the right side of the road, marked with yellow TNC signs.
From Portland: Take I-5 South to Exit 228. At the exit, go west onto Hwy 34. At Tangent, exit to go south on ((E for 13.5 miles through Shad and Halsey before turning right onto Lake Creek Dr. Travel a mile before turning left at the intersection onto Powerline Road. Travel 1.8 miles. The preserve is on the left side of the road marked by yellow TNC signs.
Parking: Park along the road in front of the preserve signs.
