Board members are responsible for guiding the operations of the Santiam Heritage Foundation which is restoring and operating the Brown House Event Center. We are an active Board- involved in fundraising, event planning, maintenance, programming, and financial management. Other skills are often important contributions to the makeup of our Board.
Potential Board Members must attend 3 board meetings before they are eligible for membership on the Board. This gives you and us the opportunity to become familiar with each other and gauge our fit.
We currently have 6 Board members, and our monthly meeting is on the first Wednesday of each month at the Brown House at 6 pm. Meetings usually last 2 hours. Participation in other events is also required, such as open houses and events. We require an interest in history and a one-year commitment if elected to the Board.
