When a family places a request for essential items we use volunteers to be able to deliver those items to the family in need. We do this by clearing our volunteers through a process that requires a waiver, background check, and proof of car insurance.
Whenever we have a transport need we will send out a mass text and email and give you details. Most deliveries are picked up in Margate or Davie and delivered all throughout Broward. You will let us know if you can do the delivery specified. Volunteer hours are given for each transport and it is a wonderful way to get involved directly with the children and families impacted by the child welfare system.

We strive to be the hands and feet that deliver resources to all children and families impacted by the child welfare system in South Florida.
Description
The Hands and Feet bridges gaps in the child welfare system in South Florida through differing programs, our most active being our Essential Item Delivery Program. This program works by a family or child with an open child welfare case putting in a referral through our website for basic necessities that are needed such as clothes, shoes, diapers, wipes, school supplies, car seats, etc. Once the referral is received our team gathers all the items requested and delivers it to the family's home within 48 hours, essentially acting as Door Dash for Foster Care.
