Twitch Outreach Organizer (Volunteer)

StandUp for Kids - Orange County was launched in 2003 with a single focus: to end the cycle of youth homelessness in our community. We work to provide basic needs, housing, mentoring support, care, and love to at-risk and homeless youth ages 12-24.

The Twitch Organizer will be the lead for creating, drafting, and maintaining outreach goals on behalf of StandUp for Kids - Orange County. Their main goal is to grow the account on the Twitch Platform by further networking and will work directly with the Fundraising & Marketing Manager to ensure all content aligns with our values and represents StandUp for Kids in a positive manner. As well as build positive and effective relations on the Twitch platform that accurately aligns with StandUp for Kids’ goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Increase engagement and brand awareness
  • Impact organization growth by being the first point of contact on Twitch, and coordinating potential streamer partnerships
  • Create and maintain an accurate list of Twitch-related goals with the Fundraising & Marketing Manager
  • Conduct effective research on potential Twitch streamers
  • Research Twitch trends and platform developments
  • Curate and write relevant content/drafts to reach the audience most likely to donate/partner/collaborate with us
  • Any other duties and tasks that would align with our current goals of partnerships within communications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan and manage work independently
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong sense of personal integrity
  • Sincere desire to help homeless and street kids
  • Some knowledge of Publisher or other software programs helpful
  • Newsletter or website editor experience or desire to develop the skills to create and maintain organizational communication channels
Qualifications:
  • Volunteer position
  • Remote, with occasional in-person events and/or meetings (Covid-19 safety protocols apply)
Time Commitment:
  • Minimum 3-5 hours per week (volunteers are responsible for tracking their hours and sending them to the Executive Director at the end of each month)
  • Monthly Team Meeting

Description

StandUp for Kids fights to end youth homelessness by providing resources to homeless and at-risk kids. Resource rang from basic hygiene, healthcare, counseling, menroring, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation to support through our four core programs: Street Outreach, Mentoring, Outreach Centers and Apartment Support.

Aside from these resources and services, StandUp for Kids provides a caring community who values all homeless and at-risk youth. Our mentors and volunteers establish non-threatening relationships with youth and provide them with the lov and support of famlly, helping guide them to independence, education, and self-sufficiency.
