ORGANIZATION: CREATIVE OPPORTUNITIES UNLIMITED

We are looking for 2 Tournament Directors (TD) to handle the qualifying tournaments for the non-profit Northern California Odyssey of the Mind program. There will be 2 tournaments; one in the Bay Area (potentially Concord) and one in the Sacramento area. The TD works with the Events Director to organize the tournaments including making sure we have the right venue, that there are enough staff/volunteers (working with the Volunteers Director), food for the staff, and overseeing all aspects of the event. The Qualifying Tournaments feed into the State Association Tournament. The Events take place at the end of February (Qualifying Tournaments) and end of March (State Tournament). There are guidelines to help the directors in their job.

We follow state, county and school guidelines regarding safety for Covid-19.

The International mission of Odyssey of the Mind is to provide creative problem-solving opportunities for everyone and to foster original and divergent thinking. Through the Odyssey of the Mind program, coaches, parents, judges, and volunteers promote creativity by challenging teams to solve divergent problems, that is, those with more than one solution.
