Join the Lupus Foundation of America and thousands of walkers in nearly 60 cities across the nation to raise money for lupus research, increase awareness of lupus, and rally public support for the estimated 1.5 million Americans who suffer from its brutal impact. Walk to End Lupus Now(tm) events provide all people affected by lupus the opportunity to come together for one unified purpose- to end lupus.
Walk to End Lupus Now Richmond is a non-competitive walk that will take place on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at the Bon Secours Training Center to raise money for lupus research, increase awareness of lupus, and rally public support for those who suffer from the brutal impacts of lupus.
We are in need of volunteers to help with the following:
- Set Up 6am - 8am
- Registration 8am - 10am
- T-Shirt pick up 8am - 10am
- Route Guides 9am - 11am
- Refreshments 8am - 10am
- Clean Up 11am - 1pm

We are focused on achieving the following disease-specific outcomes: Reduce time to diagnosis, Ensure people with lupus have an arsenal of safe and effective treatments, and Expand direct services and increase access to treatment.
Description
The LFA energetically pursues its mission through five program objectives:
- Provides direct financial support to researchers through LFA's own national research program, Bringing Down the Barriers
- Advocates for increased public and private sector support for research on lupus
- Translates research findings into medically sound information and programs for people with lupus, their families, physicians, and other health professionals
- Heightens public awareness of the impact of lupus
- Supports individuals with lupus, their families and caregivers
