Join us to commemorate the 9/11 National Day of Service by volunteering your time to make a difference for a small business owner.

The 9/11 National Day of Service is a federally recognized day transforming the remembrance of 9/11 into a worldwide day to rekindle the extraordinary spirit of togetherness. It’s also a day to pay tribute to those directly impacted on 9/11 by volunteering to serve others.

The National Day of Service will be honored on September 12 and we will feature special volunteer opportunities in September.

By volunteering with our Small Businesses Need Us initiative, your talent and expertise can help a small business owner who is still recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic. This toll is especially felt among small business owners in the Black and Latinx communities.

We offer virtual volunteer opportunities that take as little as two hours of your time and we provide templates and other materials so no preparation time is needed.The Small Business Hackathon events that we're doing are having a real impact on the participating business owners. I continue to be moved by the feedback we hear from both business owners and volunteers.

We need your business expertise. During each Small Business Hackathon event, Volunteers are paired with Business Owners and moved into individual breakout rooms to work on a specific deliverable for the duration of a 2-hour, virtual, online meeting. We provide easy-to-use templates for the deliverables so there is virtually no advance work needed.
