Museum Greeters are needed during our open hours of 11 AM to 3 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and during special events.
Museum Greeters: Welcome and orient visitors to the Museum during open hours or at events. Serve as cashier for the gift shop. Keep a daily record of visitors, gift shop sales, and donations.

Mission Statement
The Hamburg Township Historical Society and its museum seek to ensure that the cultural history of Hamburg Township is preserved and presented in ways that foster learning, promote understanding, and inspire appreciation for the past. The Hamburg Township Museum was established in 2004 by residents interested in preserving and presenting the history of the area. The museum is located in one of the most historic buildings in the old village of Hamburg. Erected in 1865 as a worship space for a Methodist congregation, the building and its additions later housed the township offices and library. The museum moved into the building in 2006.
Description
Our permanent galleries highlight aspects of the nearly 200 years since the founding of Hamburg Township. The model train gallery shows the village and surrounding area as they looked in 1910. Another gallery features antique furniture and objects depicting early domestic life. Other displays document the area’s service members, scouting, recreation, religion, educational institutions, and businesses. Our temporary gallery space offers rotating exhibits on topics such as "Women in Herstory- Famous Females of Hamburg Township."
