Forterra Planting

Celebrate our kickoff to the planting season at Green Everett Day!

Volunteer with your community to celebrate the annual Green Everett Day! This year, join us as we plant a forest at Forest Park, one of Everett’s most beloved and iconic forested parks. We will be planting trees and shrubs, removing introduced weeds, and spreading mulch. Planting and remove weeds is one of the best ways to give back to your local forest, your neighbors, and the planet. Help us to build healthy habitat and a healthy community!

All are welcome to attend and no experience is necessary. Gloves, tools, and training will be provided. There is limited space, so please make sure to sign up in advance to save your spot to plant with us!

About Forterra

901 5th Avenue, Suite 2200, Seattle, WA 98164, US

Mission Statement

Forterra's mission is to act with immediacy to protect, enhance and steward our region's most precious resources--its communities and its landscapes. Since 1989, we have been working toward a future in which our children and grandchildren can experience nature in and around our urban environments.

Forterra conserves land by working with individuals, companies and local governments. We strive to maximize the ecological value of land, while meeting the needs of landowners. We may accept land as a donation, purchase it, or transfer it to public ownership. We often serve as a broker to identify and negotiate the most effective ownership to protect important lands. We establish conservation easements to preserve special features. For each and every property, we explore available strategies or create new ones to provide permanent protection. Forterra has established a Conservation Agenda for our region, with specific priorities and methods for each type of landscape. Current initiatives include the protection of working forests on the foothills of the Cascades, and the creation of salmon sanctuaries along our region's highest quality rivers and streams.
