Norfolk County RSVP offers carefully vetted school volunteer opportunities for former and retired teachers at eight selected public elementary schools in Norfolk County, MA. Support a K-5 host teacher in helping young students develop literacy, math and social development skills. Guide individual and small group activities. Be part of the classroom community again and make a difference in as little as 1-2 hours per week!

Volunteers must be ages 55 and older to participate in this special intergenerational school volunteer program.

We are currently pre-registering for this coming school year (Oct 2024 -June 2025). RSVP currently has volunteer opportunities in: Dedham, Walpole, Weymouth, Randolph and Stoughton.

Norfolk County RSVP is funded by the Norfolk County Commissioners and a federal grant from AmeriCorps Seniors to encourage and support volunteerism at a local and national level.

Make a difference in Norfolk County by connecting your passions with community needs!

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
