During the school year, our 'mobile classroom’ travels into the community’s low-income areas with its After School Homework and Tutoring Program. The program delivers accessible homework help, targeted tutoring, technology (Wi-Fi, Chromebooks, printer, etc.), school supplies, nutritious snacks (e.g., fresh fruit daily) and organized outdoor sports activities.
Adults - as well as high school students 10th grade and older - are needed for two-hour shifts for homework help, targeted tutoring and mentoring. Ideally, we’re looking for volunteers who can commit to a certain day each week (whenever available) - making it easier on the children as well as from a scheduling standpoint. Student volunteers can earn service hours for their time!
- Volunteers must have an application and background check if over 18 yo.
