ORGANIZATION: We Connect The Dots

We are looking to collaborate with a SharePoint professional/organization to deliver foundational level content with our UpSkill program participants (out-of-school youth ages 18-24). All sessions are delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Assist students in making a page with Microsoft SharePoint.

SharePoint is a web-based collaborative platform that integrates natively with Microsoft Office.

This is a virtual opportunity volunteer experience. You will be joining and delivering your talk and presentation to the students using Microsoft Teams, our meeting and collaborating platform.

Volunteer educator will join us Thursday, March 9th from 12:45 pm - 3:45 pm (Including one 15 min break).

The UpSkill Program is an exploratory program intended for participants to gain an overall understanding of computer concepts, a detailed overview of basic computer skills, an understanding of the internet, basic digital citizenship competencies, basic user security, and soft skills.

Once you sign up we will ask you to provide a photo and brief bio including a link to your LinkedIn profile, if applicable and we will send you an interview request.

Description

The skills needed to succeed in todays complicated work environments challenge employers to find the resources with the right skills to be successful. We Connect The Dots will provide the necessary work skills needed for students to build strong careers in STEAM roles. By engaging in a partnership with communities, industry leaders, students and teachers, we will reduce the number of jobs that are filled by students outside the US. Creating a greater awareness to parents and students of the career possibilities and the skills necessary to succeed. Through an accelerated program and project based learning students will gain the experience that matches todays real world careers.
