We need someone who has a truck and a few strong people to move furniture out of the office and take it to Goodwill, which is only a few blocks away.

Items include a very large desk, some smaller desks, small & large bookcases and 2 large filing cabinets.

Items need to be removed by mid September.
Days of week available are Mon, Tues & Thursdays, during office hours of 9am and 4pm, but we may be able to accommodate if another day works better.

Mission Statement

The Tibetan Nuns Project (TNP) provides education and support to nuns living in exile in nunneries in India and Nepal from all Tibetan Buddhist lineages. The Tibetan Nuns Project is dedicated to: -Improving standards of food, sanitation, medical care, and education in Tibetan nunneries -Working towards future self-sufficiency through educational and training opportunities -Training nuns to take leadership and service roles within their communities -Improving the level and status of ordained Buddhist women -Assisting recently arrived refugee nuns from Tibet -Continuing to establish further facilities for Buddhist nuns

Description

The Tibetan Nuns Project is a 501c3 that provides education and humanitarian aid to refugee nuns from Tibet and to nuns from the Himalayan regions of India. Your support provides facilities and programs to educate, empower, and improve the status of ordained Tibetan women.

With the generosity of individuals and organizations from around the world, we currently support over 800 nuns living in India through our sponsorship program. One hundred percent of sponsorship money goes directly to India and provides food, shelter, medical care and education to the nuns.

All of our program work takes place in North India, where we have an office within the Dolma Ling complex staffed largely by lay Tibetans, who are increasingly assisted by the nuns themselves. We have a small administrative and fund-raising office in Seattle, WA which staffed by two full-time and two part-time people, assisted by a number of committed volunteers.
