Help land steward Ryan Goetz and The Nature Conservancy with removing invasive shrubs from Mosquito Creek Glade in Harrison County! Invasive species pose a significant threat to this ecosystem and many other natural areas in Indiana. Out-competing native species, invasives reduce biodiversity and cause habitat lose for Indiana’s native insects, birds, and other animals. Come be a part of the solution at this family-friendly Weed Wrangle.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome as this is a great service activity for Scouts and kids wanting to give back to their local natural areas! Come prepared with close-toed shoes and some drinking water.
All supplies and instructions are provided, as is bottled water and granola bars.
RSVP here: Weed Wrangle and be sure to sign up early as spots are limited! Please come prepared with drinking water, closed-toed working shoes, and weather-appropriate layers. If you have questions, please contact Esme Barniskis at esme.barniskis@tnc.org.

Description
The Nature Conservancy in Indiana's Indianapolis office exists to support our field offices performing on-the-ground conservation across the state. There are six field offices spanning four ecoregions, and our chapter has between 40-70 employees, depending on the season. The Indianapolis office houses our finance, philanthropy, human resources, government relations, land protection and science/stewardship departments. Working together, The Nature Conservancy in Indiana identifies unique ecosystems and threats to those ecosystems by acquiring lands, mitigating threats, and restoring historical landscapes to a more natural state.
