ORGANIZATION: Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity


The Volunteer Coordinator inspires community members to get involved in Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity’s work in the area and works closely with potential volunteers to ensure clear communication as they start to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Duties include returning emails and calls, outreaching to local community groups and schools, making sure proper paper work is filled out before volunteering. And with our current volunteers we ask you stay in touch with them to make sure they feel appreciated, informed, and supported.

Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity is a Southern New Jersey affiliate of the largest not- for profit builder in the world, Habitat for Humanity International.
We are committed to changing lives and landscapes by revitalizing neighborhoods and empowering the families we serve. We build affordable housing, providing 0% interest mortgages to the hard-working qualified homeowners in our program. Through education, training and advocacy we empower homeowners, community members and volunteers to make a lasting change in the neighborhoods we serve.

Since our inception in 1986, Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity has been blessed to see incredible impact with 48 homes built, 13 in the last 5 years, and 4 since the start of 2020. Not only are these families’ lives changed, but the community around them is impacted, the volunteers are blessed and Gloucester County as a whole benefits from stable families.
