As WNY begins our economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, your service, in areas such as housing security and affordability, free legal services, access to supportive services and benefits, college readiness, and health equity, will provide vital aid in helping our region build back better. Members join EOC from all backgrounds, and the most important characteristic our members have is a passion for assisting others as we work together towards the main AmeriCorps mission of eliminating poverty. The Arts Council for Wyoming County, Genesee Valley Council on the Arts, and Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council are the main arts & cultural services organizations in the GLOW region (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties). The arts councils bring over 150 years of arts & cultural services, opportunities, and experiences to the region. EOC member will serve as the Marketing & Administrative Assistant to the councils. Responsibilities include working with the Marketing Director to help increase promotional and marketing capacity with the use of algorithms, execute strategic marketing and promotion for events, improve marketing capacity by increasing our footprint on social media, and foster improved communication with audio-visual and print media. EOC member would also serve in an administrative assistant capacity on different projects. The member’s efforts will enable the councils to secure a more effective and extensive reach to the underserved in the community.

Positions for the upcoming year will run from 10/3/2022 through 9/3/2023. The final day to submit an application is on 9/2/2022.
