Regular 2nd and 4th Saturday Garden Event
Join us for our regular 2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month Garden Event.

The mission of Tiger Mountain Foundation is empowering communities to better themselves from within. We do this through community garden volunteer work through shared use Community Gardens and Incubator Farms. Come together and help us celebrate South Phoenix in our Garden of Tomorrow! We will be building community by learning to grow food from the ground up, planting seeds, weeding, and harvesting. Music and Food included!

Our 4th Saturday Volunteer experience is from 8 am - 11 am every 4th Saturday of the month.

TigerMountain Foundation’s mission is to empower people by building flourishing community gardens, providing life skills support and workforce development through neighborhood revitalization and beautification.

Description

As a change agent for healthy living, TMF envisions a healthy community where all citizens can reach their maximum potential. TMF through its model of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) will empower communities to better itself from within to build community. In the communities we affect, there is high recidivism, bad health choices and a low ranking education system with closed schools. The TMF instructional and developmental concept is intergenerational, multi ethnic mentoring. TMF brings a mosaic of educational opportunities. The four educational tenets of TMF are: Financial Literacy Micro Business Enterprise Workforce Development Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Education These tenets address prevalent issues within the core of the effected community.
