HopeHealth provides integrated health services for more than 50,000 patients in areas surrounding Aiken, Clarendon, Florence, Orangeburg, and Williamsburg counties. It was founded in 1991 as a grassroots HIV/AIDS support organization, and was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center in 2007 to expand services to include primary and pediatric care. HopeHealth now has over 100 providers covering primary care, dental care, chiropractic care, rheumatology, endocrinology, behavioral health and psychiatry, pain management, substance use treatment, and women's health services.
We have so many volunteer opportunities! Below are just a few!
A guest comfort host greets and engages guests in the HopeHealth Medical Plaza waiting areas, providing comfort items (i.e. water, coloring pages/crayons for kids, healthy snacks, literature/reading material, etc.)
Lobby greeters are the first person to provide a friendly face and welcome with assistance to the guests of HopeHealth! You'll stay busy and active while greeting and guiding guests to where they need to go at the HopeHealth Medical Plaza.
At HopeHealth, our providers work out of suites. A suite guide helps at up to two suites:
- guiding guests to the suites, lab, or pharmacy
- helping at kiosk check-in
- assisting with paperwork
- assisting suite staff
- helping with the Healow app so guests have access to telehealth appointments
- other tasks that are helpful to the suite(s)

Description
HopeHealth was founded in 1991 as a support services organization for HIV+ individuals in the Pee Dee Region of SC. In the past 17 years, HopeHealth has expanded its services to include 2 other regions and a multitude of services including prevention activities, HIV testing and counseling, health education and risk reduction, and most recently, community health services for the City of Florence.
