Come join our Alpha Omega Hospice Volunteer Team! Are you caring and compassionate? Do you have a passion for helping others? Then we would love to have you as a hospice volunteer!
Alpha Omega Hospice's volunteers are provided the preparation and training they need to comfortably and successfully complete their chosen assignments. Some volunteers receive additional training based on their selected area of service.
Patient Care Volunteers are part of a patient’s care team. They make home visits to offer companionship for patients and relief for caregivers. One example of a patient care volunteer opportunity is doing a Life Review with a hospice patient. They say that "when an older person dies, a library is lost." The Life Review program is designed to preserve those memories and save the library! With the resources we provide, you will be interviewing a hospice patient and recording their answers to be preserved for generations.
