It is almost fall season! That means it's almost time for Spooktacular at Sea Center Texas! Sea Center Texas will be hosting its 16th annual Halloween Spooktacular event on Sunday, October 22nd from 3 - 6 PM.
Sea Center Texas is a marine aquarium, fish hatchery, and education center operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Admission is free and many of our programs are run by volunteers.
Spooktacular is a safe and educational Halloween event for the Brazosport area community. Guests are welcome to dress in costume, children are invited to take part in games, and everyone is encouraged to learn about coastal wildlife while visiting Sea Center Texas.
We invite you to join in on the fun! In the past, the community has supported Sea Center Spooktacular via volunteer participation. Volunteer participation includes assisting with craft activities, games, costume contests, giving out candy, and so much more!

Mission Statement
Sea Center Texas is operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). The mission of TPWD is to manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. The Mission of Sea Center Texas is to produce marine fish for stocking Texas waters, to promote conservation of coastal resources for the benefit of present and future generations and to conduct research.
Description
Sea Center Texas, which opened in 1996, is a multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art marine finfish hatchery, aquarium and education center developed through a partnership between Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, The Dow Chemical Company, and the Coastal Conservation Association. Each year over 50,000 visitors are entertained and educated by the facility's 75,000 gallons of aquariums, interactive touch tank display, wetlands exhibit, youth fishing pond, and hatchery. Additionally, the hatchery annually produces some 15 million red drum and spotted seatrout fingerlings for release into Texas coastal waters.
