Wesley-Rankin Community Center will be expanding its Scholars Literacy Program into St. Mary of Carmel Catholic School.


We will be needing volunteer tutors Monday-Thursday from 2:30-4:00 PM to work in small group and 1:1 settings with learning different students. WR Scholars partners with the June Shelton School to offer Sequential English Education (SEE) curriculum which is designed to help Dyslexic and ADHD students learn reading, writing, handwriting, and phonetics.


Scholars volunteers are asked to commit to one day a week and are required to complete a background check, sexual abuse awareness training, an orientation, and a training session on the SEE curriculum either Tuesday, August 30th or Saturday, September 10th from 8:30-4:00 PM.
