Expand your experience, help others, AND have fun as a volunteer with United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County!! UCP supports children, teens & adults with developmental disabilities throughout the Dane County community. Our goal is to give primary caregivers a break from daily caregiving, while also creating a fun, supportive experience for the individual in our care! This is a FANTASTIC experience for anyone looking to gain experience in the fields of; communication sciences & disorders, rehabilitation psychology, education, nursing, pre-med, physical therapy, occupational therapy, child life, social work, or anyone who enjoys people!
Hours: Shifts are available Monday-Sunday; mornings, afterschool, evenings & weekends. UCP works with your availability to find a schedule that works best with your lifestyle. Volunteer as little as 2 hours/week, up to 15/20hrs!
Responsibilities include: engaging & interacting with others, good communication with UCP staff and families, maintaining a positive/helpful attitude, modeling appropriate social skills, open to learning & having fun!
Qualified Applicants will be reliable and have a strong desire to help others. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for most positions. Must be 18 years or older to apply.
