Community Health Resource Center Cancer Buddy Program

The Cancer Buddy Program connects newly diagnosed cancer patients who are cancer survivors for peer support. Buddies connect by phone, e-mail, or through direct face-to-face contact at the Community Health Resource Center meeting space.

Requirements:
Cancer survivors who have been in remission for at least one year.

We are the next step for accessible health information, support, and resources whether you connect with us on your own or have been referred by a physician. We offer health education, health screenings, nutrition counseling, and social work counseling on a sliding scale fee or no cost to ensure everyone has access to our services. Our services are provided by a friendly, caring, professional staff. The Community Health Resource Center seeks to prevent and reduce the impact of chronic and acute conditions and to help improvequality of life. What is good for you, is good for the community, and good for our organization!
