New Jersey SHARES is a non-profit corporation organized to provide assistance to individuals and families living in New Jersey who are in need of temporary help in paying their natural gas and electric bills.
Description
A financial crisis can happen to anyone, regardless of age, income or family situation. These challenges are often due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a job loss or illness. New Jersey SHARES provides relief to people who are not eligible for other types of assistance. New Jersey SHARES is the only statewide, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which provides grants to pay the utility bills of households in need through a statewide network of more than 140 community-based social service agencies.
