Wilder Logo

Parents and guardians can expect the highest quality learning and care for their children ages 16 months to 5 years with year-round enrollment at Wilder’s Child Development Center (CDC). Our staff and teachers continually recognize and strive to meet the diverse needs, abilities, interests, and cultures of children and families, where each person is valued and respected as a contributor in our classroom environment. You can volunteer to support this important work through yoga!

As a Volunteer Instructor, you will share your knowledge and passion for yoga and mindfulness to help our students ages 2 to 5. You will prepare plans in collaboration with classroom teachers that are age-appropriate for preschoolers and then bring those plans to life. Anyone who cares about young children’s social, emotional and cognitive development can provide yoga instruction to help CDC kids find healthy ways to express themselves, build confidence and be inquisitive!

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare class content prior to your volunteer shift each week and connect with the Family Program Coordinator and/or teachers to develop plans
  • Provide a brief interactive weekly or bi-weekly yoga lesson with kids at our Child Development Center

Benefits:

  • Connect with local students and help them grow through activities.
  • Support our teachers by providing supplemental content for their classrooms.
