Mission Statement
Alora Farm is an agricultural homestead and inclusive community of autist teens and adults. Our farm was founded as a sustainable home and workplace for autist individuals to live, grow and thrive in a welcoming environment of self-discovery and purposeful participation.
Description
As an active, working farm and intentional living community, Alora teaches land and animal stewardship through activities, day
programs and vocational training. Working with the support of their neurotypical peers, members develop skills in farming,
gardening and animal care while learning life skills that serve them both on and off the farm. As farm stewards, Alora
members nourish themselves and the broader community by providing fresh and nutrient-rich produce to our own tables
and area CSA's. Creative and artistic programs further support the development, expression and well-being of our
members, while our beautiful, low-stimulation environment fosters personal agency and interpersonal connection - and the
regenerative power of nature.
