Mentally challenged people are confronted by the social standards of living right now. Their lives are hard, struggling to create meaningful social relationships, as well as experiencing dicrimination and judgement from many people.

This is why we, Banas Foundation, have partnered with ErinoakKids, a center for treatment and development for mentally challenged youth, to create and organize an impactful event.

The actual event is tailored around the title of the event; giving the opportunity for mentally challenged people to learn and discover. It will also be a fun and new experience for these people as we attempt to have volunteers active in hosting certain events, possibly even perform if they are up to the task. We hope that our event will motivate these able people to create change, because they aren't limited to anything.

Our aim is to raise funds for ErinoakKids' respite center. The respite center provides short periods of parenting relief for chihldren who are receiving enhanced funding and/or have complex caring needs. Raising funds for the respite center would provide mentally challenged people the opportunity to expand upon new resources, replenish resources, and overall learn and discover more.

The location of this event is in Brampton, Canada, in the Gore Meadows Community Center. The venue will be in community room #2.

In order for us to be successful, we request for your help. We ask for anyone with a positive spirit, who is passionate and wanting to change lives to volunteer with us, because this may not be the only event, with possibly many other events that will impact people to come.
