Walk to Defeat ALS
Walk to Defeat ALS

SEATTLE

We need volunteers to help set up and help during the Seattle Walk to Defeat ALS. Set up includes putting up canopies, signage, water table, and decorating for the event. During the event we need volunteers to help with t shirt table and registration. After the Walk we will take everything down and load into the van. This is a fairly easy and fun event. Coffee, hot chocolate and muffins will be available in the morning.

If you'd like to help with only set up or tear down, those shifts are available too. Set up is 8:30am-11am and tear down is 11:30am-1pm

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that is 100% fatal with no known cure. Most of the money raised at this event will go to assist local ALS patients and their families/caregivers. The ALS Association provided in-home visits from a care coordinator to help with the complexities of living with this disease. We also loan medical equipment, as needed, free of charge. Some of the other services this event supports include support groups, respite grants, workshops, ALS clinics and research for a cure.
