Are you a Pet Therapist or are you and your pet certified for Pet Therapy and looking for a place to give of your time. Why not apply to volunteer with us at Bridge Hospice. Our patients, many who do not get many visitors would benefit from visits from you and your pet. It would brighten their day and give them something to look forward to.
Qualifications;
1. The Therapy pet must have a pet therapy certification and you must provide documentation of completion.
2. The volunteer/handler must be at least 18 years of age, complete all requirements of the volunteer program and comply with the requirements and qualifications outlined in the volunteer job description.
3.The therapy pet must have liablity insurance and provide the policy declaration and coverage dates.
4. The therapy pet must be current with all required vaccinations and provide documentation of an annual health report from veterinarian. For more information please contact us at hdvolunteers@bridgehc.com

Mission Statement
Bridge Home Health & Hospice is looking for volunteers dedicated and compassionate about making a difference by providing companionship to our terminally ill patients. Bridge volunteers conduct friendly visits with patients and help them in their daily lives by conducting social visits, reading aloud, playing musical instruments, playing cards/games, caregiver relief, veteran to veteran companionship, etc. Volunteers can also provide compassionate remote services such as phone calls, letter writing, sending cards, etc. Volunteer visits and phone calls make a huge impact and truly enrich the lives of our patients and their loved ones. Bridge provides all training needed to be an effective volunteer by outlining our basic policies and procedures during our onboarding process. You can be sure that once you go on your first visit, you will be prepared. Requirements Include: A clean record, TB test, a great attitude and desire to make a difference!

- Volunteer make their own schedule. Bridge requires volunteers to provide at least 2 hours a month of volunteer time and a minimum of 6-12 month comitment.
- Completion of online training coarse, two step TB tests and drug screening, background check and manditory orientation. We ask for proof of auto insurance and social security card. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated for Covid.
